Litigation
The firm represents both plaintiffs and defendants in the New York State courts and in the Federal courts in all phases of litigation from the initial pleading stages to trial, appeals and judgment enforcement proceedings. We also represent clients in non-traditional litigation forums such as mediation and arbitration, and before various Federal and New York State and City agencies.

The firm’s litigation practice is predominantly engaged in the prosecution and defense of commercial and business disputes, employment discrimination, and real estate and title litigation. We regularly represent clients in breach of contract claims, merchant disputes, business torts, fraud and misrepresentation claims, shareholder and partner disputes, real estate and title claims, employment discrimination and employee rights claims brought under the various New York State, City and Federal statutes, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws.

Employment Law
Our employment practice concentrates on representing employers and employees in employment relations. The firm also counsels employers in developing appropriate employment policies, employment manuals, contracts of employment, and in managing a variety of employee-related issues. As a regular part of our employment practice, we train and host seminars for our corporate clients on a variety of New York and Federal labor and employment related matters and compliance issues.

General Commercial, Corporate and Business Law
The firm regularly counsels corporations, partnerships and businesses on a variety of matters involving the formation of corporate, partnership, subchapter S, and limited liability entities, commercial transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance and compliance. With significant recent changes in the law imposed by Congress in the area of corporate governance, disclosure and accountability, these changes have required our clients to seek regular representation from our firm in this area of the law.

Real Estate Law
Our real estate practice consists of representing individuals, partnerships, corporations, and various other business entities in the purchase, sale and refinancing of residential and commercial properties, office space, residential cooperatives and condominium units. We also represent both owners and tenants in commercial lease negotiations and commercial landlord/tenant disputes. The firm is outside counsel to a number of major title insurance companies.


International Business Transactions
Our firm is retained by a small, but growing client-base of multi-national companies doing business in the United States. We counsel these clients on the laws and regulations governing their particular industry, licensing requirements, import/export laws, employer/employee relations, and the various requirements for doing business in this country and particularly in New York State. The clientele is diverse and is engaged in a variety of different business sectors, which provides us with broad experience in the area of international commercial transactions.

Italian Law
The firm represents clients in Italy, through its affiliation with its office in Rome, Italy, in the areas of civil and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, construction contracts, public utility activities particularly in the area of water and electricity, public procurements, antitrust and competition practice, domestic tax practice, telecommunications, banking and finance, securities, industrial property, intellectual property, employment law, administrative law, European Community law, litigation and arbitration.
